Bio
This Leo Sunrise is an alt. folk/indie rock band from Utrecht. ‘Real’ songs are mixed with cinematic, repetitive drones, creating a broad sound spectrum. The songs, atmosphere, production and lyrics – it all comes together on their beautiful new release Do Not Always See. With ten years of experience, they made a dark, moving record – their most focussed work to date.

Do Not Always See was recorded live during a massive storm in an old classroom in Watergang. The CD packaging and visual live show are created in collaboration with Quinten Swagerman and the art community De Vechtclub XL in Utrecht. The visual show, where video, animation and audio go hand in hand, saw the light of day in December 2016, and took place in Belgium (funded by BesteBuren) and in De Vechtclub XL during the official release show.

This Leo Sunrise have toured throughout Europe, playing with related bands such as The Low Anthem, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Damien Jurado, Great Lake Swimmers, Willard Grant Conspiracy, Templo Diez, Sin Ropas and Esmerine.
