We proudly present the new single by Amsterdam-based Athenian songwriter and producer LOGOUT! Παράθυρα is the first taste of the forthcoming album ΕΔΩ/ΕΚΕΙ, to be released on October 16, 2020.
ΕΔΩ/ΕΚΕΙ is completely written in LOGOUT’s native language, Greek. Παράθυρα (Windows) promises a more nostalgic, acoustic approach, without losing LOGOUT’s ability to write catchy folk melodies and experiment with sound. The 12″ LP will be released on October 16 by Tiny Room Records in collaboration with B-otherSide Records.
Moonchy & Tobias are releasing a new album end of October. This is a preview. Really awesome, really beautiful. The first two CDs are available tomorrow on the Onafhankelijke Label Markt in Amsterdam. This one will have to wait a few weeks.
Happy announcement: we welcome Geri van Essen to the Tiny Room family! This London-based Dutch songwriter makes amazing, timeless folk songs that appeal to the imagination. We are currently working together on her new album, that will come out on Tiny Room Records later this year. Now, to tickle the hype and let the announcement not be a hollow one, we present to you first single 23/32!
23/32 was written in one sitting, hummed into Van Essens phone in the staircase of her office, late summer 2019. It’s mostly a general observation of people struggling to feel content, playing with the notion of past and future from different perspectives.

Watch the new video by indie pop duo Microplaza for single Through The Fabric, the first sign of life of their new 7″ EP We’ll Never Fit In This Poem Together, out April 11 (limited edition of 30) on Tiny Room Records.
We’ll Never Fit In This Poem Together is the follow-up to Microplaza’s self-titled debut, which was praised for its combination of accessibility and alienation. The duo returns with six flawless indie pop miniatures: more consistent, darker and more intense than the debut, but just as inventive and surprising.
Samsara, the new album by The World of Dust will be released on March 1, 2019 on CD and LP. First single Blood is out now, listen on Soundcloud:
Samsara is effectively a full-length collaboration between The World of Dust’s Stefan Breuer and Todd Tobias (Guided By Voices, Robert Pollard, Circus Devils). Previously contributing keyboard arrangements for 2015’s World of Dust album Womb Realm, Tobias created all the instrumental backdrops for Samsara’s evocative songs. A shadowy universe of forlorn beauty, this lo-fi bedroom pop experiment is shrouded in elemental imagery and laden with ennui. Intimate and wistful, Samsara mines a similarly rich emotive seam to artists like Mount Eerie, Sparklehorse and Pedro the Lion.
The process for Samsara saw Tobias send Breuer 26 instrumental ideas, from which Breuer chose those which resonated with him most. Over the course of nearly two years, Breuer wrote and refined an especially personal suite of lyrics, reflecting his struggles with his mental health and his experience of becoming a father. The result is World of Dust’s most fully realized and vivid album to date.
This album will be released in The Netherlands by Tiny Room Records, in Belgium by Honest House, in Germany by Stereo Dasein and in Australia by Hidden Shoal (who also do licensing). Later in 2019, MOORWORKS will release Samsara in Japan.
Pre-orders for this limited (333 copies), numbered slab of wax in a beautiful handmade sleeve are up at our store. Don’t sleep on it!
About Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy – The Best of Folks:
“The Best Of Folks is as much a guide for survival in a world of increasing alienation and digital dependency, as it is a highlight of a long-running career.”
About Naked Shortsellers – Harbour Men
“Occupying an alt.county hinterland made up of pedal steel guitars, shimmering twangs and sweeping aural vistas, this is a track that perfectly encapsulates those long winter nights.”
This is happening! To top off a brilliant year full of beautiful releases, we end 2018 with a bang. An intimate & sad bang though, ha! Our biggest international release so far…
On December 21st, we’ll release a split 7″ by American indie hero Bonnie Prince Billy and new Utrecht supergroup Naked Shortsellers. Two new songs to celebrate the long-term relationship by highly acclaimed musician Will Oldham and Dutch musician (and Oldham’s webmaster) Leo Meijer. It’s beyond perfect.
This is the cover of the sleeve, a painting made by Rik Berkhout. More info this week!
This should have been up earlier, but we have been lost in the world of Le Guess Who? this weekend, great as ever. Anyway, there is a new record coming out on Dec 7th on Tiny Room Records that you should know about!
It’s a split 12″ (100 copies made) of Belgian indie rock band Taïfun and Utrecht-based power trio Holden Goldmund. 2 sides, 2 bands, 2 countries, 8 songs, all great. We release it in the Netherlands, Honest House is covering Belgium and Stereo Dasein takes care of Germany.
Brace yourself when entering the disorienting world of Moonchy & Tobias, where churning rock textures created by Todd Tobias are the landscape within which vocalist Pat Moonchy runs riot, warping her voice into every recess and shape available. Skirting the boundary between fairytale and nightmare, the angular architecture of the music is softened and stretched at every juncture. Whether the pounding bass of ‘Juu Ichi’, the bubbling submarine atmospheres of ‘Vertigo Trail’, or the percussion and fuzz carnival of single ‘Une Saison En Enfer’, Moonchy and Tobias create a transformative musical experience in which giddy tangents abound.
Moonchy & Tobias pairs Italian vocalistPat Moonchy with American instrumentalist Todd Tobias. Moonchy is one-half of the experimental band Sothiac, in duos alongside trombonist Angelo Contini and jazz drummer Lino Liguori, in the Tai-No Orchestra, and with German krautrock pioneers Faust. Ohio native Tobias is a long-time collaborator with Robert Pollard (Guided by Voices), and provided the musical backing to Pollard’s vocals in the freak-rock trio Circus Devils. Tobias has also released a series of themed instrumental albums under his own name.
